19 Liebherrs at 40 for King Lifting

An LTM 1500-8.1 in an earlier delivery from Liebherr to King Lifting

King Lifting in the UK has ordered a package of 19 new Liebherr wheeled mobile cranes for delivery over the next two years.

The order encompasses machines in a capacity range from 60 tonnes up to the 700 tonne LTM 1650-8.1 wheeled mobile telescopic crane. Three units of this eight axle model are part of the order which helps mark the company’s 40th anniversary.

Commenting on the deal Tristan King, managing director, said, “we are delighted to place this order with Liebherr in our 40th year of trading to support our continued growth and renewal programme, further strengthening our position in the UK crane rental sector.

This latest investment in addition to our existing fleet further enables King Lifting to service our clients across all sectors with the latest Stage V power units, whilst ensuring the business meets its ongoing commitment to reduce our carbon footprint. All the new cranes will be available to hire throughout the UK.”

The breakdown of 19 new cranes in the order is as follows:

3 x LTM 1650-8.1

1 x LTM 1350-6.1

2 x LTM 1300-6.3

1 x LTM 1230-5.1

3 x LTM 1150-5.3

3 x LTM 1090-4.1

6 x LTM 1060-3.1.

Deliveries begin in March and continue until 2024.

King Lifting has a fleet of more than 120 all terrain, tower and crawler cranes in the 8 to 1,000 tonne capacity range.
